The World Ski Awards have rolled around once again and Niseko is out to impress with 16 nominations across six prestigious national and international categories.
NISADE is thrilled to announce a triple nomination in the esteemed categories of Japan’s Best Ski Boutique Hotel and Japan’s Best Ski Chalet. The World Ski Awards are known as the ‘Oscars of the Travel Industry of which are quickly becoming recognised as the industry standard to aspire to. It is truly fulfilling to be considered for such an honour, and our thanks and gratitude goes out to our far-reaching network of support.
NISADE are no strangers when it comes to The World Ski Awards, as Hakuchozan was up against international leaders for the 2016 title of ‘World’s Best New Ski Chalet‘ along with Kozue Niseko’s nomination in the categories ‘World’s Best New Ski Chalet’ and ‘Japan’s Best Ski Chalet‘ in 2015 & 2016 respectively. This year, The Vale Niseko seeks to defend the title of ‘Japan’s Best Ski Boutique Hotel’ for the fourth year in a row, a title we hold with the highest honour.

This pristine river front and cliff top site enjoy views of rolling hills through the treetops and fine branches, or kozuein Japanese.
The architectural design is guided by the building’s surrounding environment and focuses on creating a strong visual and physical connection between the natural landscape and the interior spaces.
Each of the six apartments offers pristine floor to ceiling windows boasting magnificent river or forest views. The fully equipped kitchens, entertainments systems, floor heating, and drying rooms offer perfect conditions for parties big and small.
Japan’s Best Ski Chalet
Hakuchōzan delivers the most exquisitely designed chalet experience in the world. This masterpiece combines the finest in architecture, functionality, and personalised service. With a fully dedicated Hakuchōzan team including a chalet host, private chef, and a driver, there is nothing in Niseko like it.
The name Hakuchōzan means “Swan Mountain” in Japanese, and originates from the owners’ personal affiliation with Neuschwanstein Castle (“New Swan Castle”) in Bavaria, Germany.
