Located in the Niseko region, Mount Yotei is special to the locals as it looks over their picturesque region. This amazing mountain is located in the Shikotsu Toya National Park. It is an extinct volcano resembling its more famous older brother Mount Fuji. One of Japan’s most famous mountains – Mount Yotei is covered with snow for 3/4 of the year and can be hiked in the summer months. A return trip takes 5-6 hours of rigorous climbing.
